Don Michael Jr, the head engineer and producer has owned and operated SFX Studios since 2008, woking on countless projects including big label projects from Cash Money Records, Sony, ATLANTIC RECORDS, 300 Entertainment and more! Don has produced for and worked with a ton of local and world renowned artist like Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Cassie, Lukas James, Mir Fontane, Nyah G, Meek Mill… etc.

Recording

It doesn’t matter if you have a “type beat” from Youtube or original production… You’re going to need great quality vocals. We use the Neuman TLM 49 Mic or the Blue Microphones Baby Bottle through a UAD Apollo Interface with Neve emulation Mic Pre’s. The Mac Studio can handle very large sessions.

Mixing & Mastering

If you’re recording at the studio, a quick mix & master for each song is included during your time, and normally sounds “Radio Ready”! If you have files you recorded somewhere else, that’s no problem. We have Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Studio One, and Ableton. You can also send sessions to be mixed as well.
